At the age of her 20s Handler moved into Los Angeles in order to explore acting. Handler became an actress to support her. Handler started doing stand-up comedy full-time after she turned 21. She realized she was gifted with storytelling. Handler's first professional gig was as part of an all-female Oxygen Television cast of the series with a hidden camera called Girls Behaving Unreasonably. The show aired on air from 2002 until 2005.
